Community Veterinary Care: What We Offer

Low-to-no cost Veterinary Care
CARE provides accessible and affordable veterinary services for domestic animals and livestock in the Victoria Falls region. This includes routine check-ups, treatment of injuries and illness, deworming, and ongoing health monitoring, ensuring even low-income families can keep their animals healthy.

Vaccinations & Disease Prevention
Our team conducts regular vaccination campaigns against deadly diseases such as rabies and distemper. By vaccinating thousands of animals each year, we help prevent outbreaks, protect public health, and save lives—both animal and human.

Sterilisation (Spay/Neuter) Programs
CARE runs ongoing sterilisation initiatives to manage animal populations. Spaying and neutering not only reduce the number of unwanted animals but also improves animal welfare and decreases the risk of disease transmission. CARE also runs a program to sterilise community (stray) cats humanely and protect wildlife.

Community Education & Outreach
We believe education is key to long-term change. CARE delivers workshops, school programs, and community talks on topics like animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and coexistence with wildlife. What does CARE do?

Do you treat both pets and livestock?
Yes. We support dogs and cats, and we also assist with livestock and working animals where possible, including donkeys.
Do you offer rabies vaccinations?

Does CARE handle animal cruelty cases?

What should I do if I find a stray or injured animal?
Contact CARE as soon as possible. Our team will assess the situation and provide appropriate care, including rescue, treatment, or humane management if needed.
Do you help with stray cats?
Yes. We support humane stray cat management through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) where appropriate.
